so behind! (quick catch up!)

i'm so sorry i've been pretty distracted/busy the last few weeks to catch up my life...

i will expand upon and post pictures later but in the last few weeks i've:

-- had thanksgiving with krista, leah and cameron. we had duck instead of turkey (we couldn't find turkey!!!) but we were able to have stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, bread, and homemade macaroni and cheese. we were also able to make a cherry pie that we ate with the neapolitan ice cream i had in my freezer. it was quite a feast and i was pleasantly surprised! :)

-- i've had 3 christmas concerts in the last few weeks... one at the church we practice at, one in a cute town in the "middle of nowhere" (haha not wyoming middle of nowwhere but danish countryside) and then one last night in a church by the train station... last night it was an amazing performance and the acoustics in that church were FANTASTIC! ahhhh :) love it.

-- last night after the concert i attended the choir christmas party and had a lovely time... it is weird to be the youngest person in the group but nice to feel like i have a substitute family for a little while...

-- last sunday krista and i ventured out to maja's house to make christmas cookies!!! oh my goodness it was  a lovely day! she found some peanut butter (not as good as american peanut butter) so we could make peanut butter ball cookies!! :-D krista and i had hoped she would love peanut butter like we do... but no luck... darn!  oh well she wasn't ment to be a american kid growing up on pb&j's!

-- on thursday we had an after final party at our history prof's house it was quite fun and all we did was eat and drink and eat and drink some more it was a good time and it was a cool house out in the country which was fun too!

-- my bike had a compleately flat tire on sunday before we left for maja's... we filled it up on town on our way there and it lasted until that night when we went to ride home... :-( so i borrowed maja's bike to get home in the rain that night... i have to take a bus to pick it up and i haven't forced myself to deal with it... but not having my bike is actually painful i miss it so much... its on the list to do but i've got so much to do first...

-- i've turned in a culture paper (called "i heart denmark") talking about all the cultural things i enjoy about the country, i was finished with marketing right before thanksgiving and i had my history exam thursday... i've got a pretty big paper to write today and tomorrow and then i have an oral presentation on friday of this next week...

-- for the last few months i had been planning on leaving denmark after this semester but i decided very recently to stay and stick it out next semester... i still have a few things i want to see and do and quite frankly having nice weather will make a huge difference in the spring... plus it hasn't snowed here and i'm pretty happy about that! but it will suck not seeing friends and family for a long time still... thank goodness for webcams it helps a ton!

-- speaking of friends and family... i'm so excited for this coming thursday one of my best friends will be here for a week! i'm so very excited to see someone i really know! i'm also excited to show him around my cute city and take a trip to copenhagen, lubeck germany and berlin (again i still have so much i didn't get to do the first time!)... yay!

-- i've found out that kirsta gets kicked out of the country on january 14th so our huge plan for traveling till the 24th of january is messed up a bit... but we've got a plan so now i'm looking for someone to travel with me some more in january to use up some more of my train pass! i'm also excited to meet some of our classmates around in their home cities as we travel (yay free places to stay! and local guides!) i think i'm most excited for austria, land of mozart (among other greats)....

-- on christmas eve (the big day here) i'll be heading to my buddy Bjorg's house for the holiday to spend with her family. i'm excited to see some new traditions!

-- i'm kind of in shock that it is the end of the semester there were times when i didn't think the next day would come but now i feel like the days are becoming more numbered (at least until all my friends i've made over here leave me!)

--well i better get started on that paper but i think this is all i've done i need to write down details but i'm not sure today will be that day... so anyways... the blogs will be scarce till the end of january with my special company :-D and the traveling i'll have going on...

thanks for reading!!
