i ended up having weird dreams last night and woke up around 3:30 my time... i ended up getting out of bed to check my email and things and to my lovely surprise my favorite people were online... yay! i miss them dearly but at least i get to still talk to them...
after going back to sleep around 4:30 or something like that i slept in until 9:30 or so... i was quite slow getting ready this morning.. oops... thats ok i didn't have anywhere i had to be early... so that was good... i went to the shopping streets and had to run an errand there... then i decided to go to the university and drop off some papers at the international office... they were only open from 10 till 2 so i had to be quick and get there before their short window of oppurtunity closed! i ended up getting kinda sorta mixed up but i ended up finding were bjorg lived... so i knew how to get to campus from there! yay!
fun side note i was walking my bike along the street because i wasn't sure how to go and i heard my name yelled out... it was the mormon girls riding their bikes on the other side of the street!!! it was nice to know i can run into someone i ... sorta... know... :) it was a lovely treat for the morning to hear perfect english... with an american accent!
so i ended up getting where i needed to by route of bjorg's house route to the university... i was very proud i remembered where we had gone! i got to the university and parked my bike where i was pretty sure there was an entrance... good think i tend to follow people because once inside i had no idea where the stairs were... they were labed in danish of course but i would've been wandering around for hours! the university (pictures later) is very industrial looking and all cement and iron and rusted metals and things like that... very cool but very industrial... to be on the ground floor all i saw was grey... i wasn't sure where i was going to go... so after i followed the lady up the stairs i found the main hallway... yay! except then i needed to find the international office again... bjorg showed me yesterday but i went the wrong way to the right rather than just going strait across the hall... it is a very weirdly laid out building but somehow after wandering around i got to the office in time... yay! i got my papers turned in... they still didn't have my student id yet which is sad but hopefully they will have it by friday (orientation day!)...
so i cannot figure out the weather here... or the humidity... or the inside temperatures once i get to palces i need... ick... i wore something great for outside but when i was inside i was miserable hot and sticky and just plain icky! need to get that worked out... so i don't look like a moron...
after looking at my map and planning my way back to my house in hopes of going right by the other place i needed to go i headed off! :) long story short... i took a very very very bad turn... i was able to pin point some places i had been now that i'm home but wow that is all i can say... wow i was so so so lost... but i did get home... i took a very good turn and ended up at a corner of a street aht i thought i knew... i broke out the good ol' map again and i was correct that street lead me home! thank goodness... i was sure i was going the right way but i was not correct for a long time... but i did get to see a lot of the city and some of whole other place i'm not sure is even my city.. .haha... go me... anyways i somehow somehow got home and i'm very happy.... i didn't freakout really or cry so i'm pretty proud of myself...
after getting back i really needed a nap...i was beat... i took a longer nap than i had planned but thats ok... i'm sure it was good after the long ride i was on... when i woke up i went and made myself some dinner... to my surprise the german couple i met my first day where in there cooking up some potato things... they asked me if i want to go to the farmer's market tomorrow so here goes nothing... :) i'm going to try it out...
then tomorrow afternoon bjorg is going to take me the to the place i tried to get to today... :) yay! i love my buddy... i got so lucky!!!
