is the link for the pictures... :)

Day One:

all day was windy and very very wet!!!

we caught a bus that left at 9:00am... we got to ride on a double decker tour bus which is always fun... :) we crossed over this amazing bridge (only for cars-- the train goes under the water in an amazing tunnel!) the wind was crap and it made me worry going over the bridge that we would be pushed off into the ocean... but luckly we were ok... i just worry too much... and i'm scared of drowning...

after we got into copenhagen we headed to the hotel to drop off our luggage... we went and walked to the "round tower" which was built by some king christian IV and it doesn't have stairs till the very very top... he made it a ramp all the way up so he could ride his horse up and down... it was pretty cool considering how old it was! it was used as an observatory for many many years and now is a skyline view of the city... such a great view!

we also went to another church close by where the prince got married a few years ago and is used for major events...

we got a break for lunch and i had my first mcdonalds since i left the states!!! the fries were just like home... oh my goodness it was sooooo yummy! the sizes are kind of funny the small is like the american's kid size and their large is like a normal size back at home... i am also sad that i haven't been able to find any dr. pepper...

krista and i met up with these other girls on the trip (a german and two french girls) and we made our own little tour of the city... passing by tivoli, the main square, a place, a nice walk around the river.... we also went back to the shopping street to get out of the rain... we were so soaked we didn't even know what to do...

after that we went back to the hotel to meet for dinner... we went to a turkish/danish restraunt where there was a belly dancer even... haha!

after dinner we went to a student bar but it was lame and we were tired from the long wet wet day so we went back to the hotel and slept... i did have my first carlsberg beer at the bar (which is the beer brewed in copenhagen)

Day 2:

we got up and went on a boat tour in the canals and along the river seeing lots of copehnagen because there are so many great things to see along the water... got to see the little mermaid statue and it is very small if you can tell from the pictures... the boat tour started in Nyhaven which is the very famous and adorable harbor with the brightly colored boats...

we were able to grab some quick lunch and then headed back on a even more windy and scary bus ride back home... i really think that the wind gets higher here because everything is flat and frankly i live on a small island surrounded by the ocean where the wind goes crazy!

anyways... that was copenhagen!
