London- day three - friday

so on friday we decided to meet leah and cameron (the american girls) that morning at king's cross station... at what other platform than 9 3/4!!!!! :) although spoiler alert it is not between platforms 9 & 10... it is along some unused wall... you have to have a ticket to get into platforms 8 through 11... so fyi if you go just keep going down the main corridor and it will be on your left... :)

after going to kings cross we hopped on the tube and headed to buckingham palace... at buckingham palace we took a tour of the state rooms and got to see really lovely things inside the palace... my favorite was the "green room" where everything was this lovely mint green color... sooooo beautiful... i wish they would allow pictures... but of course not! :(

after going to buckingham palace we walked to hyde park where the girls wanted to see the peterpan statue... my foot was killing me so i headed to westerminster abby to wait for krista so we could go on the tour... the other girls had things they wanted to see because they had done the tour the day before... krista and i were very lucky we got to westminster just before it closed... which is good because it was incredible!!! to be where all sorts of amazing/powerful/influential people are buried and have walked... it was so nice to see where haydn was buried... not one of those things i never thought i'd see... plus i love old churches/cathedrals/etc...

after westminster we worked a snack and headed back to the hostel to get ready for the night out... it was cameron's 21st birthday at midnight so we were going out to picadilly circus (basically like times square) for dinner and to a club she had picked out to celebrate...

it was a mess with people on a friday night... we ended up going to good ol' TGIFriday's... which was nice made it feel homey... which is what i think we all needed... after dinner and a round cocktails we headed to the club cameron set up... it was a place called tigertiger... and it was crazy... they checked our bags out and had metal detector wands... and in the end the website lied and didn't let us get through without paying a cover so we decided to leave it was tooooo crowded and stuffy anyways so i was glad... not my thing...

we walked around and hoping tube stations for the next 3 hours looking for a bar but we didn't find one that looked normal... so we got back to the hostel very late but it was fun....
