so we had class on thursday afternoon. because i had been sick for the entire week i decided to help myself out and rest as much as possible before leaving. we left to catch a train out at 4:16 that afternoon. krista and i went with cameron and leah (the other american girls) on the train to hamburg they were also starting their trip there and it was nice to have more people. We had to change trains twice. after we got on to the second train we headed toward the bit of water between zealand (the island where copenhagen is) and germany... the train got on to a ferry literaly drove onto the ferry with everyone inside into the bottom level. they made everyone go up to the third level so that it was safer in case something happened in route to germany. it was so weird for me at least not being used water transport. after we got to the other side we hoped right back on the same train... so weird but super fun! :)
after we got to hamburg we knew we had to hop onto the subway a few stops on two different named lines... our eurail pass allowed us free pass on U-subways but not on the other ones so we were supposed to change between lines but when we went to go buy a ticket we all realized that we didn't have any euro all we had was kroner! oops!
so we ended up walking in the direction of the hostel... we asked for directions twice but we have a lovely detour for a little bit...
we all stayed in the same hostel... but that was the last of seeing them because we were in different rooms and they had a different trip planned starting the next morning....
