friday & saturday & sunday

so i've been either busy or homesick whenever i've sat down to write my blog so i never really gets done... sorry... plus some days i don't end up doing a whole bunch so i feel pathetic writting something about how i did nothing... so i've made a combined blog for my weekend....

on friday i didn't have class so it was a nice relaxing day... i went with rishma to the bazar to get some fruits and veggies... followed by finding the postoffice by the train tracks and getting my package home from my mommy... i was proud that i was able to get it home without dropping it in the middle of the street or something like that...

that night i ended up going to the bar downstairs with krista... it was a 'traffic light party' which is a fun idea i think... you wear colors that signify your status... the colors say these things... green: available/single... yellow: you are going to have to work hard to get me... red: stay away i'm taken... i think it was a good idea... i had a good time... didn't get hit on but met some people and danced and drank 2 whole beers which is a record! we went down around 12:30 and didn't get back upstairs in our rooms till 3:30... i'm too old for that! haha!

so i slept in a decent amount on sat morning because i didn't get to bed until late late (for me at least)...

so saturday krista and i went to ROBODAYS! haha i'm such a nerd! they have a robot festival every year with lots of nerdy things to do and see and play with! i wanted to go to the robot music exibits... :) they were sweet... they were located in the music libary (insert skreech of excitement!!!!) the music library has lots and lots of books about music, cds, records, sheet music, etc... that you can check out... :) yayayayay! it was like heaven to me... i forgot how much i missed doing music choir helped remind me but then ah to be in a place filled with music... ah so happy! anyways... downstairs they had a set up of these switchboards that when you touched this other wire to the different chips or whatever it made different pitches/noises/etc... hard to describe but very cool to see it... then they had a demonstration going on in the courtyard with these colored blocks... each color was a different musical element (red-beat, yellow- solo guitar/instrument, pink was a vocal line, green were chord changes with synthesizer and grey was the center block that when ever you connected it with another color the other color would play)... it was crazy crazy cool!

after checking out the nerdy robot things we decided to get some lovely ice cream... :) hummmmmm yum yum! the place we went was called paradis... they make their own ice cream in the back every day!!! they had the most divine chocolate ice cream! i had chocolate and tirimisu ice cream and krista had this amazing strawberry and their hazelnut... it was tasty!

next we picked up a few groceries and headed home... nice day all in all..

sunday i slept in until 1pm... yeah... not a proud moment... but i think it might be the fact that i don't have a lot to do or a big part might be my homesickness when i get down i like to sleep in insane amounts... not good but how i deal usually...

but krista and i went on a bike ride a little after two to the city harbor north of the train tracks a bit... it was very cute (pictures to follow) it was very windy but we had a nice time getting outside and going for a bike ride...

i really love my bike... i also feel like i can do anything when i'm on my bike... i've gotten a lot more confidence in my riding and i used to be scared of going off of curbs and things like that but i totally drive off huge things and i keep my balance (big deal for me!)

i've just had a night full of avoiding my reading... here you don't have homework other than reading but it always a lot of reading... so i should get on it...
